What Makes the Quick Release Clamp Unique?

The heart of WATERAX's system lies in its ingeniously designed pump end quick release clamp. This clamp allows for the near-instantaneous detachment and interchange of pump ends without the need to disassemble the entire unit. This translates to several key advantages:

  • Enhanced Emergency Response:

In critical situations where every moment matters, the quick release clamp allows for rapid repairs or adjustments, ensuring that water can be delivered where it's needed most.

  • Reduced Downtime:

The clamp eliminates the time-consuming process of completely disassembling the pump for maintenance or repairs, getting your equipment back in action much faster.

  • Increased Flexibility:

With quick interchange capability, you can easily swap out pump ends to suit different tasks or to replace a damaged unit in the field.

How Does the Quick Release Clamp Work?

Let's take a closer look at how this system works in practice.

Removing the Pump End:

  1. Lift: Locate the pump clamp lever and lift it.
  2. Release: Find the tension-adjusting knob and turn it to release the tension on the clamp.
  3. Remove: Slide the clamp off the pump end.
  4. Detach: Carefully remove the pump end from the engine.

Attaching the Pump End:

  1. Prepare: Ensure the coupling belt is installed on either the engine or the pump end coupling drive.
  2. Align: Carefully align the teeth of the pump end coupling drive with the coupling belt.
  3. Install Clamp: Position the pump clamp with the lever on top and the tension knob facing the muffler.
  4. Tighten: Finger-tighten the tension knob until there's light pressure on the clamp link.
  5. Secure: Close the clamp lever.
